What’s Bruin – Oct. 1

  • The Bruins have an exhibition game tonight in Montreal at 7:30 PM ET. Manny will get the start in net and Chara and Hnidy will both be playing for the first time tonight. Here’s the expected line up.
  • The ever-present trade rumors surrounding the Bruins picked up speed today, due to cap issues. The Herald points to Marc Savard being trade bait, while Hub Hockey thinks it’s already the end of the Phil Kessel era. These rumors always seem to be swirling, I’d be surprised to see a blockbuster move happen before the season starts.
  • Fan favorite Milan Lucic talks about shaking off the rust and the frustrations of training camp.
  • Finally, fellow Bruins blog Stanley Cup of Chowder is in the Iron Ref competition against some heavy-hitting blogs and can use any and all votes to get to the next round.
